fALLEN oAK dISTILLERY
This pair of barn signs was created for Fallen Oak Distillery in Olney, Maryland. The client provided the two slabs, milled from the Oak Tree on the property that they took their name from.
Reflection Park Gate Signs
These two signs were created for Reflection Part Natural Burial Ground in Silver Spring, Maryland. The main sign is composed of a 4’x8’ cedar slab, and the inset gate “cookie” is a 24” diameter white oak board. Black dye stain and oil based finishes were used, keeping to natural materials that match the mission of the organization.
Bluestone Woodwork Shop Sign
This shop sign was made from a cutoff from a Claro Walnut slab, leftover from one of our large dining table builds. The striking wood grain and funky shape were too good to let it go to waste, but the odd dimensions didn’t lend it to any client projects - but it was just right to showcase both our brand the type of work we can do.
I carved our logo and brand into the walnut, and carved the negative out of a maple board. The maple board was glued into place, the excess cut off, and then it was all sanded flush and finished.
